Frequently Asked Questions

How much does this service cost?

There is no charge for this service.

When will I receive the first message containing the winning numbers?

Your first winning numbers message should be received following the next drawing after you subscribe to the list. For example: You subscribe to the Powerball list on Thursday morning. You will receive the first message early on Sunday morning after we process the drawing results from Saturday night.

When do you mail the messages?

The message is sent out after results for the drawing are processed. This generally happens between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. the day after the drawing. Wednesday night's results are mailed early on Thursday morning, and Saturday night's results are mailed early on Sunday morning.

How do I change my address?

Remove your old address, then Signup using your new address.

Why does the winning numbers message sometimes not come until later in the day?

Several reasons could cause the delivery of your message to be delayed for several hours. One of the most frequent reasons is that your ISP may be performing maintenance on the mail system when the message is sent out. Another is that changes made by your ISP cause their mail server to think our message is "spam" mail. In both cases, our mail server will attempt to resend the message hourly over the next 2 days. This could also happen with the confirmation email after you subscribe or unsubscribe to the list.

I have signed up for the list but I am not receiving the messages. Why?

There are a few reasons that this could happen.

One reason may be that you typed in your email address incorrectly on the signup page. You should have immediately received a notice that you signed up. If not, this could be the reason. If you think this may be the problem, signup for the list again. If the address is already on our list, you will be advised of that.

The most common reason for a failure is that your internet service provider (ISP) did not accept the message or did not deliver the message to your mailbox. Your mailbox may be full or perhaps your ISP thinks our message is "spam" mail. If you think your ISP is not delivering the message to you, you should contact your provider and have them add our name to their servers.

Another reason (though rare) is that we have technical problems. In this case you may complete the sign up process but the request is not completely processed. If you did not receive an email message confirming your subscription to the list within 24 hours, subscribe again.

I have Unsubscribed from the list but I am still receiving the messages. Why?

You may have typed the email address incorrectly. If you think this may be the problem, remove your address from the list again.

It may be that you are NOT receiving email from us. Spammers often "spoof" our name and many other addresses to send out their email. We cannot stop the spammers from spoofing our name. We only send out an email with the game's winning numbers and jackpot amounts after every drawing.

We may also have had some technical problem. If you did not receive an email message confirming your removal from the list within 24 hours, follow this link to remove your address again. If you continue to have difficulty, please contact us.

I have subscribed or unsubscribed but did not receive the confirming email. What should I do?

If you have just subscribed or unsubscribed, the confirmation email is usually sent out within 30 minutes as stated on the confirmation web page. However, at times, the confirming email may take up to 24 hours to be received. If you have not received your confirmation email after 24 hours, complete the process again.

What are some common errors made when subscribing to the list?

The most common mistake made while subscribing or unsubscribing from the list is a mistyped email address. If you do not type the address correctly, you will not receive the confirmation message or the winning numbers messages.

One commonly mistyped portion of the email address is the extension at the end of the domain. For example: If your provider domain is provider.net and you type provider.com, you will not receive the confirmation message or the winning numbers messages.

A common misconception among AOL users is that they only need to enter their screen name. Your screen name is not your email address. It may be a part of the email address, but we will need the complete address. For example: screenname@aol.com
